I want to participate!
All you need to know
Get your Parent/Guardian's consent
As you are a young person we need permission from your parent/guardian to participate. Please see the information sheet for parent/guardians below.
We will ask you and your parent or guardian to sign a consent form when you come in for your study visit! If you would like to see a copy of the consent form in advance, please request this on our 'contact us' page.
What does e-BRAIN involve?
What would I be asked to do?
Questionnaires & Interviews
We will ask you to complete some interviews and questionnaires about your life, your diet and your interests. This will take about an hour or so.
Biological Samples

We would also like to collect a small sample of your blood, urine and saliva to examine markers of nutrition, how your body responds to stress and your immune system.

If you cannot give blood you can opt out.
MRI scan
We will ask you to have an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scan at King’s College London, which gives detailed pictures of the brain that cannot be obtained in any other way.

It is safe and it does not use X-rays or radiation. The scan will last around 45 minutes.
What do I get for participating?
To thank you for your time we will give you £40 worth of Love2Shop vouchers which can be used in places such as FootLocker, Topshop, Topman and many more.
We can also arrange travel to and from King's College London or reimburse you and your parent/guardian for travel costs.
